SCAMMED BY CARHISTORY.ORG

Paid the quoted price of $1.00 for a vehicle report that is only a list of recalls for the VIN #. Asked about the rest of the report and was advised to go to another site and buy their report and carhistory.org would reimburse the full amount for that. The cost there was $24.99. That's when the red flags went up so I googled carhistory.org reviews and learned they are SCAMMERS. Checked my account and sure enough, they already popped me for $18.95. instead of the $1.00 I agreed to. Class action anyone?

To tell people it was a scam

I purchased the $1.00 car history report and my account was hit with the $18.95 recurring charge. When I contacted the company they promised that they would credit my card back the money. Three days later the company returned our money to the account, but Netflix had a new account made here in the US using the card number. We had to have that card turned off and replaced. I went online and found a few review sites that other people were having the same issues I had. Some were worse, as they had fraudulent charges in the thousands. Bottom line, don't do it. They're scammers and thievesDont. The car reports are not complete

Paid $1.00 for a VIN check, then was notified by my bank did i authorize a $18.95 charge recurring for up to 12 months. I said no to request from the bank. The bank closed my bank card which is standard procedure and i will get a new card. This company is just down right Scamming people. There is no indication in there Privacy Policy or Terms of Service for any amount of charges listed. I am turning over to the OHIO Attorney General and The BBB of Columbus, Ohio for solutions.

That's a joke Karmen, i have reached out only to get a negative response from your operators, you do not need to talk to my bank and you will not get my bank account info as your operators have asked. I will get my refund back but through official channels such as the State Attorney General and the BBB in Delaware.

Your $1.00 report will cost you $18.95 per month until you cancel the 'service', Luckily, my wife noticed this charge and asked me about it; otherwise, I doubt I would have caught it. Did a VIN research last night. Website indicated a $1.00 charge. Made a mistake in VIN# on first try. My bad. Entered correct VIN# second try. Search responded vehicle VIN not found. Yet, car still listed on Carvanna website. Received an alert from my credit bureau immediately regarding two charges of $18.95 from VINSEARUSA.COM. Didn't appreciate these charges without pre-notification. I am requesting a refund of one charge and via my credit bureau alert will not use this website and will dispute any future charges.

Horrible

When I went online they stated that there was no charge for a single search. I wanted to see if an older vehicle would show up in their system (VIN under 17 characters) . Nothing came up so I assumed that was the end of it. Instead I was charged for the a Volume Discount plan which I never agreed to, nor did I get a single report! I got on the phone and expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with them and their business approach and was told I would be refunded my monthly payment - which I never approved by the way, and have not been refunded yet. I am going to get on the phone again and this time, I will be far less social than last time.

I wanted a history of my car and an idea of its current value. The cost of such a report was supposed to be $1.00. I received a report but the links to comparing car Insurance and accidents and services did not work. Today I found out that my credit car was charged $18.95 and this would be a reoccurring charge every month. I called the online number, and they gave me a confirmation number to prevent future charges. These people should be stopped.

in October of 2018 i bought a report from car history for $1.00 that was the price to release the report. i noticed a year later i was being charged $18.95 a month for joining ther club or what ever they cal it. i talked to one of there sales reps and told him i never joined a club. he told me he was sorry and would refund me the money. he could only refund 3 months of charged electronically in to my account $56.85 which they did and would receive a check for the remaining amount of $170.55 in the mail that would take up to 25 days to receive. when it never came i was told to e-mail Karmen Jones which i did. this person told me that they sent the information to the department that does the refunds and they would cut the check. that was 2 weeks ago. still no refund. now im out $170.55 much more than the $1.00 that they say it cost to release the report. please help, Bill Vostatek

I also purchased one report for $1 and was charged twice for $18.95! What would consumers subscribe to recurring charges if they only need one VIN check. I am reporting this site also on my end for deceptive practices.
